Accuracy in the media?

I hate it when reporters in the media use obviously fake and staged photos. It is a blatant attempt by the media to artificially inflate crisis and create "oh-my-god! type emotional knee-jerk reactions by the viewers and/or readers of the news.

The latest media outlet to fall victim and use, what I believe is, a staked/fake photo that attempts to make current conditions appear worse that they are is none other than The Drudge Report.

Here is the image that is currently on their page as of 9/13/2008 2:35p.m (EST):

Readers, do not misunderstand, the events unfolding down in Texas from hurricane Ike are bad. However, I believe it shows lack of professionalism on any media outlet that uses fake or staged imagery to create an emotional response to a natural disaster or any other tragic event.
