Wherin They Kinda Creep Me Out
It's unfortunate that I remain uninspired by any of the would be Presidential candidates. We're scraping the bottom of the barrel here folks in terms of contenders if you ask me. Now Ralph Nader has thrown his hat into the ring. O-oooo, so scary. He's so electable! *sarcasm* What really strike me as odd is that all of these candidates combined remind me of the Addams Family. Just look at 'em:
We got Hillary "Morticia" Clinton; John "Uncle Fester" Mc Cain; Barack "Lurch" Obama and Mike "Gomez" Huckabee. Not Shown: Ron "Cousin It" Paul and Ralph "Thing" Nader. C'mon everyone, Sing with me:
They're creepy and they're kooky,
Mysterious and spooky,
They're
all together ooky,
The 0-8 Presidential candidates.
Seriously folks do any of the candidates inspire you?
Does our country really want a candidate that cries when things don't go her way? That just does not come across a strong does it? Can you just imagine that in negotiations with another country or a group of terrorists...things don't go your way so you cry about how "hard it is".
Do we really want a candidate that has no real governing experience whose campaign stops closely resemble a Jim Jones convention? The only thing missing is the Kool-aid.
Do we really want a war-hero candidate? Sure he survived the Hanoi Hilton, more power to him, but he's a so called Independent In other words someone who sticks his finger into the wind before making a decision, a fence sitter with no real core convictions
Do we really want a self proclaimed "Evangelical" candidate? Sure he plays the guitar real good and has some personality but when someone talks about changing the U.S. constititution so that it conforms to his view of the Bible, be wary. Any time someone says they want to change the U.S. Constitution you should run away from him very-very quickly.
This is indeed a strange batch of contenders. Is it a reflection of how poor politics in the USA is in general or is it the publics distaste of politics and politicians as a whole, being just sick and tired of it, that has given us this cesspool of candidates?
This whole campaign process so far, the road to the first 1-billion dollar President, is just plain sad, uninspiring and pathetic.
