Rolling in their Graves
A brou-ha-ha is erupting in Plainfield Township, Michigan. At issue is how much a family should be allowed to decorate a grave of a loved one who has passed away. You can see the whole story by clicking on the picture below.
Leave it to government to make a cemetery politically correct wherein every person buried there can only have equal amounts of love and grief shown. After all, it just wouldn't be fair to the other deceased parties if one grave site was more loved than the others. The part that kills me is that the township wants to limit displays to a "floral circle a foot wide around the marker." God Grief! Cemeteries are for the living. If the plots are well maintained how a family uses and decorates them to grieve their loved ones should be no ones business.
This is nothing but a power trip for the township and an infringement on these families Freedom of Speech and Expression.
